Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC. This is a contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) where you will be pivotal in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients in the Step Down and MedSurg units, floating as necessary.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Must not live within 50 miles of the facility.
- 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
- Stepdown/PCU experience is necessary.
- Must be comfortable floating between Stepdown, MedSurg, and Tele units.
- SC nursing license required; no license or background hits accepted.
- Certifications: BCLS.
- Skills: IV start experience required.
- Travel experience preferred.
Unit Details: 5T - 22 bed adult MS Oncology unit.
Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension.
Shift Information: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed.
Scrubs: Not provided; royal blue/white required.
EMR: Meditech (CH).
