Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC, where you will have the opportunity to work in a leading acute-care hospital. This contract position is ideal for RNs with experience in Progressive Care Units (PCU) and Step Down settings. We are looking for dedicated professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable floating between MedSurg and Stepdown units.
As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a 22-bed adult MS Oncology unit. The ratios for this role are 1:4-5 in Stepdown and 1:5-6 in MedSurg. You must have at least 2 years of MedSurg experience and be licensed in South Carolina. First-time travelers are welcome, but please note that candidates must not live within 50 miles of the facility and cannot have any license or background hits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Float between Stepdown and MedSurg/Tele units as needed.
- Perform IV starts and other nursing procedures as required.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina RN license.
- 2 years of MedSurg experience required.
- Stepdown/PCU experience preferred.
- BCLS certification required.
- Travel experience is a plus.
Please note that scrubs will not be provided; royal blue and white scrubs are required. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
