Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Asheville, NC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients in need. This role requires a commitment to excellence, with a focus on patient experience and collaboration within the team. The Emergency Department typically operates with a patient ratio of 4:1, and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds, ensuring that you will be part of a well-staffed and efficient unit. With advanced equipment and a supportive staff, you'll be well-equipped to handle the challenges of a busy ER.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform advanced procedures and utilize equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner.
- Adhere to hospital policies and patient experience protocols, including AIDET.
Requirements:
- 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume emergency department preferred.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date), ENPC within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work flexibly in all areas of the ED and demonstrate a teamwork mentality.
Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. The dress code requires navy scrubs for RNs, ensuring a professional appearance while on duty.
