Join a leading healthcare provider as a Travel RN in the CVICU unit located in Nashville, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients
  • Unit Staffing Description: Free floating charge nurse to assist staff, unit secretary, and Administrative Care Tech available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Student Nurse Externs assist nurses by performing tech duties on variable shifts.
  • Type of Equipment: Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps
  • Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 2 weekends/month
  • 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
  • 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Patient Experience Requirements: None specific

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

  • Must Have: Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience
  • Advanced Skills Needed: Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required; preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT.

Procedures Performed on Unit: Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. Perform central line insertion, Swan insertion, intubations, etc. on unit.

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS

Dress Code: Scrubs - black, red, or galaxy blue, scrub jackets/vests only
