Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 52
- Number of Staff: 134
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Patient Ratios: 3:1 average, low acuity 5:1; Peds = team nursing (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
- Type of Equipment: Alaris
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have: Minimum 1-year ED RN experience, BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certification, and experience in traveling or at large facility areas.
- Preferred: ENPC, Meditech experience, and experience traveling to facilities larger than 52 beds.
Typical Procedures Performed:
- IV starts and medication administration
- Sedations and Pediatrics

- Able to keep up with a fast-paced ER
- Diverse and quick learner; the team is young and assumes you can handle your own
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Expectation is that you scan your patient and medications every time.
