Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Med/Surg unit. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team atmosphere while making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Unit Staffing Description: Tech support on day shift and night shift; Unit secretary available from 7a-7p.
- Type of Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology.
- Documentation System: Meditech.
- Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours/week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
- Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float; rotations apply when multiple contract staff are scheduled.
- Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members, including bedside shift reports and personal connections.
Hospital Specifics:
- Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center.
Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:
- Med/Surg Experience
- Ability to prioritize care and multitask
- IV Start Skills
- Basic Wound Care
- Maintenance of Surgical Drains, Nasogastric Tubes, & Chest Tubes
Must Have:
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms.
