Join a leading acute-care hospital in Nashville, TN, as a Travel RN specializing in Medical Surgical/Neuro. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate care in a dynamic environment. Our facility is recognized for its commitment to patient care and offers a supportive atmosphere for healthcare professionals.

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Patient Ratios: 6:1
  • Unit staffing description: Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary from 7 AM to 7 PM.
  • Type of Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology.
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
  • Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled.
  • Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members, including bedside shift report and personal connections.

Hospital Specifics:

  • Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center.

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

  • Med/Surg Experience
  • Ability to prioritize care and multitask
  • Start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
  • Must have: Active RN license, BLS certification.
  • Advanced Skills Needed: N/A

Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms.
