Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Chattanooga, TN. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a compassionate team dedicated to patient satisfaction.

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 11
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4
  • Unit staffing description: Tenured RNs and CC Paramedics only
  • Type of equipment: Respiratory (Parapac Plus travel vent and Phillips V60 for BiPaP), EKG, GE Cardiac Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps, Lucas device, Lifepak Defibrillators
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements: 3-12 hour shifts/week
  • Floating policy: May be floated to other ERs within the health system PRN

Patient Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1-year ER experience to set you up for success.

Hospital Specifics:

  • Certifications: TJC Chest Pain with PCI and Primary Stroke Center Certified

Requested Skill Set:

  • Basic Respiratory Care Knowledge for breathing treatments, ABGs, BiPAP, and travel vent
  • Must have: Active RN license in good standing, BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI
  • Advanced skills needed: Require minimal oversight

Procedures performed on unit: Certifications Required: Active RN license in good standing, BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI

Dress Code: Required uniform - Navy Scrubs

Additional Information: The Free Standing ER will be 3 years old in October 2023. It is a clean, organized, and well-maintained facility with Tele-Psych and Tele-Neuro consult availability. Our compassionate team has more than 50% of staff with over 5 years of experience at the facility, and all RNs have greater than 5 years of experience. 24/7 Security is available in the ER.
