GLC Group's Executive Search team has partnered with a highly respected South Florida real estate developer and owner-operator to identify a Senior Financial Analyst, Asset Management. This is an excellent opportunity for a real estate professional who enjoys combining financial analysis, asset strategy, and cross-functional leadership to drive portfolio performance. This role serves as a key liaison between Asset Management, Property Management, Leasing, Finance, Construction, and Executive Leadership. The successful candidate will help maximize asset value through business plan execution, performance monitoring, strategic analysis, and proactive problem-solving across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Management & Portfolio Performance
- Assist in executing asset-level business plans and value creation strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators, leasing activity, capital projects, and operational initiatives.
- Track critical milestones and provide ongoing updates to senior leadership.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and operational challenges while recommending actionable solutions.
- Participate in quarterly asset review meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze property operating performance against budgets, forecasts, and underwriting assumptions.
- Review property-level financial statements, operating expenses, leasing metrics, and cash flow performance.
- Evaluate leasing economics, rental rate assumptions, and tenant improvement investments.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Assist with reconciliation reviews and other asset-level financial analyses.
- Property & Tenant Oversight
- Monitor tenant openings, construction progress, renewals, and occupancy trends.
- Assist in evaluating tenant requests, lease-related issues, and operational concerns.
- Track underperforming or distressed tenants and support mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Property Management to ensure business plan objectives are achieved.
- Acquisitions & Dispositions Support
- Participate in acquisition due diligence, including tenant interviews, market research, and municipal review.
- Assist in developing post-acquisition business plans and implementation strategies.
- Support disposition efforts by reviewing property financials, operational performance, tenant matters, and physical asset conditions.
- Coordinate asset tours and support marketing efforts during sale processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, acquisitions, investments, financial analysis, or portfolio management.
- Strong financial modeling, underwriting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and real estate financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
