About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / FP&A Manager to join our growing private equity portfolio company. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and hands-on, with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to translate data into insights that support key business decisions.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will play a critical role in building and maintaining financial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and partnering with operations and leadership to track performance and evaluate growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial models (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) with focus on cash position, lender covenants, and multi-year planning.
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, including department-level budgets and variance analysis.
- Conduct “what-if” and ROI analyses for new initiatives, product lines, or capital projects.
- Prepare Direct Contribution Margin (DCM) analysis at the SKU/commodity level.
- Provide financial reporting, KPI tracking, and operational analysis to support business unit leaders.
- Partner with the finance team on Board materials and presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in market share, white space, and competitive analyses to support growth strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on inventory planning, project tracking, and performance reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA or CFA a plus).
- 3–10 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in private equity-backed, corporate FP&A, or investment banking/transaction services.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience building dynamic, scenario-based models.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to move beyond numbers and identify key drivers of performance.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communicator who can partner effectively with operations, finance leadership, and private equity stakeholders.
