Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Canistota, SD, specializing in Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF). This role is perfect for compassionate individuals who thrive in a geriatric psych setting, providing essential care to our elderly population, including those with dementia and behavioral health conditions.
We prefer candidates with experience in psychiatric long-term care, as our facility serves a diverse geriatric population. As a CNA, you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Participate in resident care planning and implementation.
Additional Details:
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holidays: Every other holiday.
- Shifts: Evening shifts are 8 hours; day shifts can be 8 or 12 hours.
- Orientation: Location-specific training, including a tour and competencies, with opportunities to shadow 1-2 shifts.
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:12 during the day, 1:9 for day shifts, and 1:23 during the night shifts.
- Electronic Medical Records: PCC.
