Join a leading acute-care hospital in Anchorage, AK, as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN). Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to manage high-risk deliveries and antepartum patients.

Requirements:

  • Active AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP certifications required.
  • Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge.
  • Must be able to work weekends, every other weekend required.
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
  • Pending licenses are accepted, but candidates must have a license in hand for Auto Offer.

Unit Information:

  • OB Triage/Testing: 5-10 patients, 7-14 patients in LD/Antepartum High Risk unit.
  • 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms.
  • Average daily deliveries around 7, with the capacity for up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum cases.
  • OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients daily.
