Join our team as a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Portland, ME. This is an exciting opportunity for a night shift traveler to fill a critical role due to a full-time staff member leaving for health reasons. With 28 open positions in this department, your skills and expertise will be invaluable in providing high-quality patient care.

Position Information:

  • Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Shift: 19:00-07:30 (12 Hours)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Call Requirements: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift
  • Years of Experience: 3+ years required
  • Float Requirements: Must be able to float as RRT, including NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and ED, as well as adult acute and critical care

Education & Certifications Required:

  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • NRP for NICU RRT required

Unit Information:

  • Number of Beds: Varied depending on daily assignments, covering the entire facility with a team of 14-16 RRTs
  • Patient Ratios: Acute 1:25, Critical 1:8
  • Equipment: Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
  • EMR: EPIC

Hiring Profile:

  • Must Have Skills/Experience: Tertiary, teaching hospital experience, Level 1 trauma
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience: NICU/PICU, Cardiothoracic
  • Type of Patients on Unit: Varied
  • Personality Fit: Flexible, team player, great communication skills
