Position Information:

  • Role: IMC RN
  • Specialty: General Intermediate Level of Care
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: As needed
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years (traveler experience required)
  • Float Requirements: Will float to appropriate similar units at IMC level or lower as needed

Education & Certifications Required:

  • BLS Certification
  • MMC mandatory onboarding education

Unit Information:

  • Number of Beds: 12-beds on the IMC side, total of 36 on R9
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3 for IMC patients; 1:4-5 on med-surg days; 1:5-6 on nights
  • Equipment: Telemetry, BIPAP, Hi-Flow O2, Insulin drips for DKA protocol
  • EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile:

  • Must Have Skills/Experience: IMC experience and at least one prior travel assignment at med-surg level or higher
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience: IMC travel experience preferred
  • Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and various acute on chronic medical conditions
  • Personality Fit: Teamwork, flexibility, accountability, good communication, patient-centered care, can-do attitude
