We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Salisbury, NC. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Med Surg and Telemetry units.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies.
- Administer IV therapy and manage blood products.
- Perform respiratory care, including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg and Telemetry nursing.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and participate in rapid response/code teams.
- Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management.
- Current BCLS certification is required.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
- OCN and chemotherapy administration certifications are a plus.
Job Details:
- Target Ratios: 1:6, with 36 beds in the unit.
- Must be willing to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Unit orientation will be 24 hours.
- Unit systems include Epic and Pyxis.
Additional Information:
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
- Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation.
