Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC. Requirements:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of experience required
- Must Have: Ortho work experience
- Traveler Experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers with EPIC experience
- Certifications: BCLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred
- Skills: IV Start and Telemetry
- Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred
- Level I Trauma Experience: Preferred
Job Details:
- Patient Population: Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Med-surg, Post-surgical
- Average Daily Census: 37
- Rooms: 39; Beds: 39
- Ratios: Expect 5-6:1 ratio, can flex up to 7:1 in extreme cases
- Float Requirement: Required to float to other med surg units as needed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required; make-up shifts for call-outs on weekends
- Special Procedures: Fast-paced unit requiring strong pain management skills
- Scheduling Type: Block scheduling options available (F/S/S or S/S/M)
Important Notes:
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty
- RTO after booking is not allowed; 7 days max RTO for AYA auto offer
- CANNOT approve any holiday RTO
