Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg and Telemetry specialty at a leading acute-care hospital in Baltimore, MD. We are looking for dedicated healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Float to Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units based on hospital needs.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required.
- Neurology experience is required; teaching hospital and Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias.
- Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
Additional Information:
- Patient ratio is 1:5.
- Every other weekend and holiday are required.
- 14 days or less of RTO is auto-approved; no RTO on hard-to-fill days like Easter, Mother's Day, etc.
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke care, pre/post-neurosurgery, feeding-tube care, and wound care is required.
- Charting System: Cerner.
- Scrub color: Navy blue.
