Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg and Telemetry unit in Baltimore, MD. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care. We are seeking dedicated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients on a 37-bed Medical-Surgical/Pulmonary unit.
  • Manage patients with common diagnoses such as respiratory distress, possible sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, change in mental status, pain, generalized weakness, and abnormal labs.
  • Perform essential nursing duties including blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line management, phlebotomy, PICC management, and IV initiation.
  • Conduct tracheostomy care, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions.
  • Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years of Med-Surg experience; Telemetry experience is preferred.
  • Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
  • BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation, and chronic trach/ventilator care is required.
  • Charge nurses may perform peritoneal dialysis as needed.

Additional Information:

  • Every other weekend is required; number of weekend shifts may vary based on unit needs.
  • Floating is required based on hospital needs.
  • Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contract.
  • No RTO on hard-to-fill days like Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.
  • Local candidates are accepted.
