Join a leading acute-care hospital as a NICU Registered Nurse in San Diego, CA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on neonatal intensive care. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for caring for newborns in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting changes and interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support families through education and emotional support during critical times.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience or strong Level 3 surgical experience required.
  • Current California RN License.
  • Certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP; PALS preferred.
  • Must be flexible with variable shifts; the schedule is published monthly.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).
  • Comfortable with floating between units (PICU & CVICU) and NICU satellite campuses.
  • Experience with ventilators, PICC lines, trachs, and G-Tubes is essential.

Additional Information:

  • No on-call requirements.
  • Guaranteed hours after call-off policy is met.
  • Free parking for travelers.
  • Must have own transportation; mileage reimbursed from home base NICU location to any satellite.
