Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Operating Room Technician in the Menino OR. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a positive attitude and flexibility to provide exceptional surgical services. This is a contract position with a focus on inpatient surgery and trauma care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including general, gynecological, urological, oral, otolaryngology, bariatric, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastic, podiatric, robotic, pediatric, trauma, and spine.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with 22 operating rooms staffed 24/7.
- Maintain excellent communication skills and collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
- Be prepared to float to other OR campuses as needed.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient surgery, with Level 1 trauma experience required.
- Must have trauma experience and be competent in at least 5 of the surgical services listed above.
- Certification: Must have NBSTSA certification (no other certification is accepted).
- Current BLS certification.
This role involves a 12-hour shift rotation with varying start times (7 AM, 7 PM, and 11 PM), and may require working every third weekend and every other holiday. One on-call shift per time period is expected. Please note that previous permanent staff are not eligible to be submitted as travelers. Local talent residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be compensated at a local rate, which is $10 less than the posted bill rate.
