Join a leading healthcare provider as a Certified Medical Assistant (Behavioral Health) in Peterborough, NH. This contract position offers full-time day shifts with a Monday to Friday schedule. The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This role requires a caring nature, emotional stability, and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly. Candidates must demonstrate discretion in handling confidential matters related to the practice, its employees, and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures pertinent to the practice and within the scope of MA certification.
- Assist the physician in examinations, which may include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Manage patient phone calls as directed by the physician.
- Provide instructions to patients as instructed by the physician.
- Requisition supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.
- Assist with the maintenance of medical records, including completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation as requested by the physician.
- Help patients get to and from exam rooms, preparing them for exams and during procedures.
- Assist with any nursing procedures as directed by the physician.
- Work collaboratively as a member of a team and remain flexible in various tasks as requested by the Manager and/or Clinical Coordinator.
