Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) in Olathe, KS. We are seeking self-motivated and team-oriented individuals who are comfortable handling inpatient boarders and adaptable to rapidly changing conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Our 29-bed Emergency Department serves the southern half of Johnson County, functioning as a chest pain and primary stroke center, with daily volumes of around 120 patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort while managing a caseload of 3:1 or 4:1 ratios.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Handle inpatient boarders as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- Must have 1 year of experience working in the Emergency Department within the last 12 months.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current KS or Multi-State RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & Conscious Sedation Competency.
- Additional Certification Preferred: TNCC.
Schedule Details:
- Night shifts: 1900-0730, 3 shifts per week.
- Weekend Requirement: Up to 3 weekend nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) per pay period.
- Holiday Requirement: Scheduled based on unit needs; may include Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day.
- Floating Requirement: No floating out of the unit.
- On-Call Requirement: None.
