Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ICU RN in Cornelius, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in critical care. Our facility is committed to providing high-quality patient care and support for our nursing staff.

Unit Information:

  • 33 Beds
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
  • Patient Ratios: RN 1:1-2, CNA 1:10
  • Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, ARDS, GI Bleeds, DKA, Cardiac Arrest, Withdrawal, Renal Failure, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • General ICU skillset including critical care gtts experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and ventilator management

Support within the Department:

  • CNA assistance for ADLs, blood sugars, and mobility
  • Charge nurse available 24/7
  • Access to RT and Hospitalist teams

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pump: Alaris
  • Med dispensing: Omnicell
  • Telemetry monitors and other unit-specific equipment

Floating Requirements:

  • May require floating to other facilities within the region as needed

Scheduling:

  • Standardized for Resource Team with weekend rotation every other week
  • Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays
