Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ER) in Keene, NH. This is a contract position offering a dynamic work environment in a newly renovated facility equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and communication devices. With a patient volume of over 26,000 visits per year and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics.
As an RN in the ER, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care to patients while utilizing your knowledge of age-related growth and development. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork between emergency department staff and first responders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients across the lifespan, tailoring the nursing process to individual needs.
- Manage drips and vents effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adapt quickly to stressful situations.
- Collaborate with pre-hospital and in-hospital personnel to ensure comprehensive emergency care.
Please note that travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks if scheduled/needed: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after, the weekend after Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, and the weekend after New Year's Eve through New Year's Day. Additionally, all nursing submissions must include your New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate, as this is required by the state of NH for temporary RN staffing.
Requested time off during this assignment must be noted and verified at upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. Orientation is non-billable, and overtime, holiday, and callback multipliers apply.
