Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Unit staffing description: Tech support on day shift and night shift; Unit secretary from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Type of equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
- Floating policy: Contract labor is the first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled.
- Patient Experience requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members, including bedside shift report and personal connections in care planning.
Hospital Specifics:
- Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center.
Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:
- Med/Surg Experience
- Ability to prioritize care and multitask
- Start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
- Must have: Active RN license, BLS certification.
Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms.
