Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Medical ICU (MICU) in Alexandria, LA. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing critical care to patients. The facility is committed to excellence in patient care and is working towards Magnet status.

**Unit Specifics:** The Medical ICU consists of 26 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. The unit is staffed by RNs and a unit secretary/COVID runner, ensuring total care is provided by RNs. You will work with advanced equipment such as ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and balloon pumps, and utilize iMobile technology for enhanced communication and efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide care for critically ill patients, including those with COVID-19.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as intubations, cardioversions, and CRRT.
  • Manage ventilators and critical care drips.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and documentation using Meditech.
  • Participate in hourly rounding and bedside hand-off reporting.

**Requirements:**

  • Current RN license with ICU experience.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications; TNCC certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and provide compassionate care.
  • Flexibility and teamwork are essential.

**Dress Code:** Required uniform includes ceil blue scrubs, with green surgery scrubs provided for those working with COVID-19 patients.
