Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Contract RN in the CVICU unit, where you will provide high-quality care to patients in San Antonio, TX. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are trained on CVICU devices to support cardiovascular cases. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment while making a significant impact on patient care.
Unit Highlights:
- Classification: RN - CVICU
- Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
- Weekend: Rotating
- Call Requirements: No
- Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years +
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swans and arterial lines.
- Manage ventilators effectively.
- Utilize strong critical thinking skills in patient assessments.
- Provide post-operative care for CABG, VAD, and various cardiac support devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TX RN License (no temporary licenses accepted).
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to IABP and CRRT.
- Familiarity with Meditech charting/order entry.
Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket.
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy.
- Hair: Neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors.
- Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
