Join our team as a Contract RN in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in San Antonio, TX. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 13 beds + fast track area with 6 chairs
- Number of Staff: 40 total
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 unless assigned to fast track area (low acuity patients in chairs) then 1:6
- Type of Equipment: Vitals machines, portable EKG machine, glucometer, transport monitors, Belmont rapid transfuser
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Procedures Performed: Triage, medication administration, splinting.
Skill Set:
- Must Have: Previous experience working in an emergency department.
- Preferred: Ultrasound guided IV experience.
Best Personality Fit: Team-player, friendly, can-do attitude.
Required Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLC, PALS.
Floating Area(s): Not specified.
Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Navy Blue.
Weekend Availability: Weekend availability if needed; no on-call required.
