As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill adult patients. The position requires prior ICU experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. You will function as a bedside nurse and will not serve in the Charge Nurse role. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU is 1:2-3, depending on acuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bedside care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Assist on the Med-Surg unit when ICU census is low, accepting a limited assignment of 1-2 Med-Surg patients.
- Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and Manager regarding patient assignments.
Additional Information:
- Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts per schedule period.
- No on-call required.
- Agency staff will not be assigned a full Med-Surg patient load except under extraordinary circumstances.
