Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA. We are seeking experienced RNs to provide exceptional care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit. This is a contract position with a night shift schedule of 4x12 hours.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide care for midwifery clients and private OBs, supporting adult recovery services and community care clinics.
- Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
- Circulate and provide newborn care, including assessments and administering Vitamin K injections.
- Float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, with a strong preference for candidates with 5 years of high-risk experience.
- Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications are mandatory.
- Must pass a clinical review prior to submission.
- Experience in high acuity and fast-paced environments is essential.
- Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
**Unit Details:**
- High-risk, high-volume L&D unit with an average daily census of 15 and 500-600 deliveries per month.
- 31 rooms and beds available for patient care.
- Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines.
