Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Seattle, WA. This contract position is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in high-risk and high-volume environments. Our facility supports a variety of patient needs, including midwifery clients and adult recovery services, and adheres to AWHONN guidelines for staffing.
As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care during labor and delivery, functioning as a Baby Nurse during the delivery process, and continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. You will work in a fast-paced setting with an average daily census of 15 and approximately 500-600 deliveries per month across 31 beds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients in Labor and Delivery.
- Float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed.
- Administer medications and perform newborn assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, with high-risk experience preferred.
- Active compact license accepted.
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP.
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Please note that candidates who circulate are not accepted for this role.
