Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Issaquah, WA. The facility, affectionately nicknamed "Issa-spa," provides a beautiful campus that enhances the work experience.

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for caring for patients experiencing labor and preterm labor. This unit has 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms, and you will be involved in various tasks including circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, and scrub duties, as well as low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering blood and blood products
  • Performing cardioversion and defibrillation
  • Utilizing cooling and warming blankets
  • Managing drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps
  • Providing couplet care and attending all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries and GYN surgeries
  • Working with special equipment in the transition nursery

Requirements for this position include:

  • 2 years of experience required
  • Epic experience required
  • Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (ACLS preferred)

Travelers are encouraged to apply, with the unit only requiring staff to work 1 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's Eve). Locals are accepted at the same rate, and candidates can request up to 2 major holidays off. All Swedish facilities honor active compact licenses, and perm candidates from any other Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.

Staffing ratios are 1:1-3, with floating to post-partum and possibly L&D at Swedish First Hill.
