Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilize advanced skills in OB triage, testing, and high-risk labor and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Active Alaska RN license required for auto offer.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP.
  • Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge.
  • No on-call requirement; weekend shifts required every other week.
  • Must be willing to float to like units if needed.
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
  • Pending licenses accepted, but must have license in hand for auto offer.
  • All requests for time off must be included in the submission and will be approved on an individual basis.

Unit Information:

  • OB Triage/Testing unit with an average of 7 daily deliveries, accommodating up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum.
  • 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms.
