We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in Amarillo, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity for RNs looking to enhance their skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a Medical Surgical RN, you will be part of a team that provides high-quality patient care to a Med/Surg patient population. The unit accepts first-time travelers and is equipped with a centralized telemetry monitoring system. You will work alongside a free-floating charge nurse and a house discharge nurse who assists across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg setting.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with Epic charting preferred.
- Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.
- Patient ratios of 1:6.
This position is ideal for RNs who are looking for a flexible schedule with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Please note that there is a 50-mile radius rule in effect, and local candidates will not be considered.
