MRI Technologist

Join a leading acute-care hospital as an MRI Technologist in Charlotte, NC. This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and a Teaching Hospital, renowned for its Chest Pain and Stroke Centers. You will be part of a diverse team, providing care to both adults and pediatrics, with an average of 40-45 patients per day.

Department Information:

  • Minimum Years of Experience Required: 1 year
  • First-time travelers are welcome!

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adults and Pediatrics from ED, ICUs, Nursing units, and outpatients across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
  • BLS
  • State Licensure is not required

Skills Required: Candidates should be confident in their clinical skill sets and able to work in a fast-paced, high patient acuity environment. Good communication skills and a helpful, team-oriented attitude are strongly preferred.

Support within the Department: All departments have a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager. You will work alongside a diverse team with various years of experience, from new grads to long-tenured teammates.

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • Department Specific Equipment: Siemens 1.5T magnets

Orientation: The facility offers a tour and departmental introductions, with a 5-day departmental orientation that is flexible based on the needs of the traveler.

Scheduling:

  • No rotations between weekends and weekdays; travelers will stay on days and shifts as per the contract.
  • Call requirement: Varies and is staffed with a fair rotation between full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler teammates.
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers are expected to help with holiday coverage unless approved off in advance.
  • RTO: Requires manager approval.
  • Schedule cycle: Traveler contracts are for 13 weeks, and travelers will work the same shift and times as agreed upon in the contract.
