Join a leading healthcare organization as a PCU Registered Nurse in Leonardtown, MD. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down setting. We are seeking dedicated RNs who are passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU/Step Down unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Float to Tele and/or Med-Surg units as needed, ensuring optimal patient care.
**Requirements:**
- ACLS & BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of PCU/IMC/Step Down experience.
- Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
- Every other weekend coverage required.
- Flu vaccine required for all employees.
This position features a Day shift with 3x12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. The patient-to-nurse ratio in the IMC is 1:4, while Tele and Med-Surg units operate at a 1:5/1:6 ratio. Join us in providing exceptional care to patients in need!
