Join our team as a Radiology Tech at a leading acute-care hospital in Charlotte, NC. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence in imaging services. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of imaging technologies.

About the Facility:

  • Total licensed beds are 373 (344 acute = 29 IP Rehab).
  • Approximately 46 ICU beds and around 40 progressive care beds.
  • Approximately 70 observation beds.
  • Emergency Department with 30 beds.
  • Imaging services include X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, supported by Radiology Nursing.
  • 14 OR suites available.

Department Information:

  • Average of 175 studies performed daily, with variations on weekends.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  • First-time travelers are welcome.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Serves inpatient, observation, outpatient, and emergency department patients.
  • Imaging provided in the ED, Fluoroscopy, OR (c-arm & O-arm), and portable settings.
  • X-ray team rotates to the on-campus rehab facility for fluoro, general x-ray, and portable imaging.

Required Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS certification.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in Fluoro, OR, ICU, portable, and emergency department imaging (must be able to rotate in all areas).

Support within the Department:

  • Guest Services/Transport for inpatient and observation patients.

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • RIS: Epic Radiant
  • PACS: Philips iSite
  • Department-specific equipment includes GE Precision 500D R&F rooms, Shimadzu RadSpeed - ED, Shimadzu MD8 & Konica mKDR Xpress portables, GE OEC Elite C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm.

Orientation:

  • Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) - 1 day.
  • Departmental orientation of 2 days to 1 week as needed.
