About the Facility:

  • Total licensed beds: 373 (344 acute, including 29 inpatient rehab)
  • ICU beds: Approximately 46
  • Progressive care beds: Approximately 40
  • Observation beds: Approximately 70
  • Emergency Department: 30 beds
  • Imaging services offered: X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine
  • Radiology Nursing support available
  • Operating Rooms: 14 suites

Department Information:

  • Inpatient Census: Around 400
  • Average studies performed: 175 studies/day (more during the week, less on weekends)
  • Minimum Years of Experience required: 2
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Imaging for inpatient, observation, outpatient, and emergency department patients
  • Services provided in the ED, Fluoroscopy, OR (c-arm & O-arm), and portables
  • X-ray team rotates to on-campus rehab facility for fluoro, general x-ray, and portable imaging

Required License and Certifications:

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
  • BLS certification

Skills Required:

  • Experience in Fluoroscopy, OR, ICU, portable, and emergency department imaging (must rotate in all areas)

Support within the Department:

  • Guest Services/Transport for inpatient and observation patients

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • RIS: Epic Radiant
  • PACS: Philips iSite
  • Department-specific Equipment: GE Precision 500D R&F rooms (2), Shimadzu RadSpeed - ED, Shimadzu MD8 & Konica mKDR Xpress portables, GE OEC Elite C-arms, Medtronic O-arm

Orientation:

  • Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearning, policy review, etc.) - 1 day
  • Departmental orientation: 2 days to 1 week as needed
