Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to make a significant impact in patient care while enjoying the vibrant community of Johnstown, PA. Our facility is known for its clinical excellence and nationally recognized patient outcomes.

The position requires a start date of 10/12/2026 and offers a contract duration of 13 weeks. As a Travel RN, you will be working 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The role is suited for those with at least 2 years of experience and requires specific certifications including NIH and Swallow Screen.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing care to adult patients in a trauma stepdown unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 (up to 1:7 depending on ED holds).
  • Monitoring and managing patients with common diagnoses such as CVA, TIA, and respiratory issues.
  • Utilizing equipment such as Mindray vital sign machines and GE EKG cardiac monitors.
  • Completing a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day of orientation, with a study guide provided.
  • Being available for holidays as determined during the phone screening.

Additional requirements include:

  • Trach and Vent experience.
  • Competency in dysrhythmia.
  • Ability to work weekends as per the schedule (2 of 4 weekends or 4 of 8 weekend shifts).

Dress code includes any scrub color, but hoodies, t-shirts, and shirts with wording/pictures are not permitted. Facial piercings are also considered unacceptable attire.
