Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and a Teaching Hospital, renowned for its Chest Pain and Stroke Centers. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience to provide exceptional care to patients across various units.

Department Information:

  • Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team)
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide respiratory care for all patients throughout the facility.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements)
  • RRT or CRT
  • NC Licensure

Skills Required:

  • 2 years of Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) experience
  • IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience
  • Experience in ED, ICU, PCU, and General Medical Floors

Support within the Department:

Benefit from strong Respiratory Leadership and utilize advanced technology including EMR: EPIC and department-specific equipment such as ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV).

Floating Requirements:

Travelers will be required to float per regional needs, which may include all facilities listed below, as needed, within the scope of practice. If floating mid-shift, travelers will be paid for the time traveling between facilities while remaining on the clock.

Regions:

  • Cabarrus
  • University City
  • Stanly
  • Lake Norman
  • Any Freestanding ED within Region
  • Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

Orientation:

New employee orientation (NEO) will include 2 days of departmental training.

Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • No call
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
  • Shift times: 0645-1915/1845-0715
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
