Join a leading acute-care hospital in Louisville, KY, as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Cardiopulmonology. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on adult critical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients with conditions such as COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Heart Failure, and more.
- Manage ventilators and perform treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol/MDI treatments, tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
- Collaborate with a supportive team, including one supervisor per shift, to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain flexibility to float to Frazier Rehab as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult critical care.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT (CRT will be considered with good experience).
- Willingness to learn pediatric care, although not required.
- Proficiency in using various respiratory equipment and EMR systems (Cerner).
Scheduling and Orientation:
- Weekend rotation: 4 weekend shifts per month.
- Orientation includes 2 shifts in the department.
- Schedule is created monthly, with shift times from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
