Join a leading healthcare provider in Louisville, KY, as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Cardiopulmonology. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients with conditions such as COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Heart Failure, and more.
- Manage ventilators and perform oxygen, aerosol/MDI treatments, trach care, CPT, suctioning, and PEP therapy.
- Conduct ABG and ABLS as required.
- Work collaboratively with a supervisor and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of adult critical care experience.
- Required licenses and certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT (CRT may be considered with good experience).
- Willingness to learn and adapt, especially in pediatric care.
Support and Environment:
- Work within a supportive department with one supervisor per shift.
- Orientation includes two shifts in the department.
- Weekend rotation is required, with four weekend shifts per month.
Technology and Equipment:
- Utilize EMR: Cerner, Med dispensing: Omnicell, and various monitors including Phillips.
- Familiarity with unit-specific equipment such as V60 bipap, PB 980, and Hamilton MR-1 is beneficial.
