Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Morgantown, WV, where you will provide exceptional care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work night shifts, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.
As a Step Down RN, you will typically work with a patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 in emergencies. We ask that holiday requests for time off be limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays.
Contract Length: 13 weeks with the possibility of extension.
Shift Information: Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays and some weekends.
Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS
Skills Required: IV start, telemetry
Experience Required: 1.5-2+ years in nursing, with at least 1 year of experience in MS/Tele and 2 years in Step Down; must be able to read telemetry strips.
Unit Information: The acuity of patients will vary, with many being Progressive Care or Tele patients typically seen in larger facilities.
Travel Experience: Not required. Blocked schedules will be considered, but only for weekend blocks (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
Scrubs Provided: No, but the colors required are burgundy and/or white.
EMR: Cerner
