Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO! This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a leading acute-care hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Float between medical, surgical, oncology, and neuro units as needed.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days and weekends, and 1:6 for nights.
- Communicate effectively with the float pool regarding unit assignments.
- Utilize lift devices, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners (training provided).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications required; IV start and telemetry experience required.
- NIH certification preferred.
- Must be able to float within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum, plus holiday rotation obligation.
- Accepting first-time travelers.
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
- RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
- Pending licenses accepted.
