Join a leading healthcare provider as a PCU Registered Nurse in Leonardtown, MD. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down environment. We are seeking dedicated RNs who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Float between IMC and medical units, occasionally taking medicine/IMC level boarders in the ED and ICU as needed.
- Monitor and assess patients in the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool.
- Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
- Skills required: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, ER Holding, Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele.
- Availability for weekends and holidays as per hospital needs.
Facility Details:
- IMC: 15 bed unit
- MedSurg: 44 bed unit
- Telemetry: 34 bed unit
- Ratios: IMC 1:4 ratio / MS/Tele 1:5-6
Please note that all employees are required to have the Flu vaccine. Scrubs are not provided; color: Caribbean Blue. Clinicians report to the staffing office for float assignments.
