Join a leading acute-care hospital as an RN in the Emergency Department (ED) in Boston, MA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in need. We are seeking dedicated and experienced RNs who thrive in high-pressure situations and are passionate about delivering quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5, depending on acuity.
- Float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED as needed, caring for patients aged 15 and older unless prior pediatric experience is available.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience.
- Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS.
- Ability to pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EPIC.
- Previous travel assignments.
- Critical care experience.
This busy ED holds up to 120 treatment areas and serves 350-440 patients per day. Please note that travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during their assignment.
