Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Cardiopulmonology in Louisville, KY. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals looking to make a difference in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care for patients with conditions such as COPD, heart failure, and cystic fibrosis.
- Manage ventilators and perform treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol/MDI treatments, and trach care.
- Conduct ABG and ABLS tests as required.
- Work collaboratively with a team, including a supervisor for each shift.
- Be flexible and willing to learn, especially in pediatric cases.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult critical care.
- BLS, ACLS, and RRT certification required; CRT will be considered with good experience.
- Ability to manage various respiratory technologies and equipment.
Additional Information:
- Orientation includes 2 shifts in the department.
- Weekend rotation of 4 shifts per month.
- No on-call duty; holiday expectations as needed.
